Yesterday, two of my idols died in the dramatic conclusion of...
I loved it. I absolutely loved it. It's strange but I like animes ending up with someone in the lead dying. Like the long-lost-forgotten anime
Thunder Jet, almost half of the lead characters died in the ending. I loved it. I loved the drama and the emotions. It almost made me cry!!! I believe ending a cartoon series like that erases the stereotype image of cartoons being childish and immature, which in reality is the exact opposite. I nearly cried yesterday, but the idea of crying amongst 25 or something people in the lobby of the dormitory freaked the hell out of my tears.
I love Ragnarok, even if I don't play the online game. At first, I had doubts because Ragnarok the Game is so mainstream that many had high hopes for the cartoon. But the animation version really pulled it through and met the expectations of the majority. For me, it exceeded it! I think this anime is superb, really!
Probably if I watched the ending at home, I would probably burst into tears, like the time when I watched the ending of
The Dog of Flaunders when I'm around 10 yrs old, and when I watched some episodes of
Remi at around that age too. I really cried! Would you believe that! Me, sobbing my heart out infront of a dying dog and kid! But I'm not ashamed of it, in fact I'm proud that at such an early age, I appreciated an animation wonder. Maybe I'll buy the CD copy of it and I'll watch it secretly at night when I want to cry or something. That's not a bad idea, right?
Anyway, I'm running out of time here and the money that I brought is only enough for an hour of net sesion. So without further ado, here's to my idols who died yesterday but will forever remain carved in my heart (naks!)...
